A doctor who lived it.
A team built to solve it.
The Better Practice story
Built by a doctor who needed it first.
Better Practice files doctors' taxes, that's true, and it's the heart of what we do. But it's nowhere near the whole story.
2017 · Where it began
One doctor, a small team, one humble office.
Early in his own practice, Dr. Gary Viray ran into the part of medicine nobody teaches you. A registration detail he was never warned about turned into penalties, then into letters from the BIR, then into nights spent on paperwork that had nothing to do with patients. He decided no other doctor should lose those nights alone. He gathered a small team and rented a modest space, with one unusual idea: handle the business side of medicine for doctors, and nobody else. The company was called MDCS then, Medical Doctors Consultancy Solutions, and the first clients were colleagues holding the same BIR letters.
2023 · A new name
MDCS becomes Better Practice.
Word spread from doctor to doctor until the name was the last confusing thing about the company. In 2023, MDCS took a new name that said exactly what we build with every client: a better practice, in both senses. Same team, same idea, a promise finally written on the door.
Today
The Philippines' largest accounting service provider exclusively for doctors.
From that first office, Better Practice has grown into a full team serving thousands of doctors across the Philippines: accountants, liaison officers, and helpline staff, still built on the same idea. And the story is still early.
The people
One team, many specialties.
Getting a doctor compliant takes a whole team: accountants, queuers, callers, builders, and problem-solvers, each one just as essential as the next.

Client relations and helpline
They welcome and onboard every new client, answer every inquiry in plain language, and pick up the phone when a scary letter arrives. No jargon, no judgment.

Medical-tax accountants
They organize every doctor's income records, check every number twice, prepare the tax forms, and file them on time. They train continuously in medical taxation, and doctors are the only clients they know.

The operations team
They prepare the forms, assemble the requirements, and process every service end to end, checking every file before it moves. Each registration, renewal, and update runs through their hands first.

The liaison officers
They carry your documents to the agencies and follow up until everything is released. And they stand in the actual queues: BIR, PRC, PhilHealth, city halls. So you never do.

The technology team
They build and improve the software behind everything: the app, the systems, and the processes that let a focused team serve thousands of doctors. We believe technology is what makes all of it work.

Management, HR, and administration
The team behind the team. They hire and grow the people on this page, keep the office running day to day, and steer the company so everyone else can focus on doctors.
